Our Founder and President Darralyn Alexander is a proven expert in medical technology reimbursement. Darralyn has 20+ years of experience working in the healthcare delivery field, initially as a registered nurse in a clinical and surgical setting.  Her work also includes 15 years of product and service management experience working on the business development side of health care. Ms. Alexander has a demonstrated history of providing strategic and tactical advocacy, lobbying and consulting services that achieve the goals and advance the priorities of health care organizations in medical devices, diagnostics, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, payer, business, and health service organizations/associations.


She has an extensive record of accomplishment in facilitating and increasing patient access to quality health care through legislative, regulatory, policy and business development initiatives for medical device manufacturers for many years, while driving education, market access and revenue for technology manufacturers and health care organizations. Her diverse background makes her unique in the medical device reimbursement consulting arena. Darralyn has interfaced directly with State Medicaid and commercial insurer medical directors, Medicare regional contractors, such as Trailblazer Health and national CMS staff including the Coverage and Analysis Group, national medical associations, and state and national legislators.


Darralyn has considerable experience on the payer side having worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield and their managed care subsidiary for eight years writing medical coverage and reimbursement policy on diverse products and services. Darralyn developed and implemented medical coverage and reimbursement policies ranging from medical devices, to radiology, to diagnostics, to surgical procedures, to pharmaceuticals, to interventional radiology and durable medical equipment.


She has worked as a Consultant, Director and Regional Reimbursement Manager for diverse, innovative consulting and medical device companies such as Cryomedical Sciences, Advanced Neuromodulation Systems and Cyberonics, working with sales, marketing, government affairs, field support and clinical trials staff, supporting new technology products in the marketplace and with insurers. Darralyn worked for AdvaMed as the Director of Reimbursement Programs during the first health care reform, and advised, lobbied, and advocated policy on the Hill on behalf of manufacturers impacted by possible health reform. Most recently, Darralyn worked five years at MD Anderson Cancer Center handling wide-ranging internal and external policy, financial, disease and practice guidelines, and educational issues pertaining to oncology access and reimbursement for new and established injectable drugs, devices, diagnostics, surgical procedures, and lab services.


Darralyn maintains a current South Carolina and District of Columbia RN license. Darralyn received her Bachelor of Arts from George Washington University and her Master of Science from Towson University in Maryland.
